Evelyn breathed deeply as she felt his rough hands on her body. He had such a gentle touch. She closed her eyes and she felt loved. She could feel the constant rhythm of his heart, that one organ that every person felt a sentiment towards. The centre of one's being. It was beneath her hand, and she left it there for a moment.
She thought about his words. In his mind, and in his heart. Was it true? If so, why? She'd treated him horridly before. She'd done nothing to deserve it, and she said exactly that, "I don't deserve to be there Will..."
~~
Jack grinned, "Aye aye Princess...." his golden teeth gleamed, as did his eyes. He grabbed his shirt from the floor and put it on, before buttoning up the front, "Looks better on you..." he smirked.

Will blinked into the darkness. "It has always been there. Since that day you walked into my shop." He breathed out a little laugh as he remembered that fateful morning... "And despite what has transpired between us...and whatever happens in the future...I am and always will be here for you." He lifted her hand to his lips in the darkness and kissed them. Then he lay it on his own breast and began to drift into sleep...

"I know." Victoria answered with another wicked smile. She swept out of the room onto the deck and quickly headed to where Pintel and Ragetti were untangling nets. Before she even spoke to them, they dropped the net and scuttled off, blushing and bowing. She blinked, then plonked herself down to complete their task, her black curls blowing in the night breeze, with the moon and stars as her only light.

Evelyn smiled in the darkness. Everyday, every passing moment she shared with Will, she realised the closeness she felt to him, how he made her feel...
She breathed in and closed her eyes, sleep finding her quite easily for a change. She drifted into a calm, restful slumber.
The night was quite a silent one. Everyone was in slumber, some peacefully, some restlessly. Above, the heavens were stirring...
As the dawn broke, the bright rays of the sun pierced through the porthole and dragged away the cool darkness of the night. Evelyn had her arm around Will, she had snuggled up to him in her sleep during the night for warmth and comfort.

His eyes fluttering open, Will awoke to find the slumbering young woman in his arms. He smiled and remained still for a few moments, enjoying the warmth and comfort he could feel all over his body. Sitting up gently, he lay Evelyn next to him and sat up. Standing, he removed his shirt and looked through a nearby chest for a new one. He could feel the sun’s rays beating down on his bare back through the little hole behind him as he searched…it scorched him. He span around, a shirt in hand, glancing around warily. He could feel something in the air. Something wasn’t quite right.
~~
The crew of the Black Pearl were active as usual. Victoria had caught a few hours sleep under the stars on the hard wooden deck. She frowned and stretched her poor aching limbs as she tied lengths of rope together with Cotton, his parrot chirping in her ear. She cast it a dark glare, thinking how nice a soft feather duvet would be right now…
Gibbs was stood nearby, his hands shielding his eyes as he looked out, blinking into the harsh sun. The rays stabbed the ocean with light, and there was little breeze. Something wasn't quite right.

Beads of sweat began to form on Evelyn's forehead. She frowned and took in a deep, stifled breath. She opened her eyes slowly, though squinting. The space next to her was empty. Then she saw that Will was awake and up, and took a moment to observe his muscular back. She turned onto her back with another deep breath. It was sweltering, and her body felt uncomfortably damp.
~~
Jack emerged from his cabin and approached Gibbs with a frown, "The weather really has been playing up on us..." He squinted against the sun, the blackness around his eyes protecting his sight. "Feels as hot as the hinges of hell..."

Will span to face her as he put on the linen shirt. His face was contorted into a deep frown. He said nothing to her, and then looked past her to the light shining in oh so brightly through the porthole...it seemed to be brightening, becoming almost blinding…the temperature almost boiling. Will cast Evelyn one last worried glance before rushing up on deck to stare at the sky and the sea. He looked around them. There was nothing. No horizon, just azure blue for miles and miles, and a consuming light which seemed to want to swallow them whole…
~~
The crew of the Pearl stopped what they were doing and gazed upwards towards the light. Some shielded their eyes, others just stared, hypnotised. Ragetti gave a little whimper. Victoria on the other hand looked less than amused. She stomped over to Jack and stole his hat once more, ramming it on her head. “If the weather continues like this I’ll be as freckled and as ruddy as some German housewife…” she said with a grimace, folding her arms like a petulant child.

Evelyn took a moment to do nothing. Then she let out a mighty sigh and went out on deck. There was an immense, frightening emptiness around them. She could hardly breathe, it was a suffocating expanse of stillness. No wind, no sound...
~~
Jack covered his eyes as an intense, blinding brightness grew in the skies. "I think freckles are the least of our worries, love..." he said in a low voice.
~~
From the white lustre emerged an ethereal figure. She was of immense beauty, pure whiteness, with a length of glowing blonde hair and the most vivid blue eyes. Her slender form took shape and cleared. She was surrounded by the brightness of the sky, but her soft, deep voice resonated in the seven sinners' ears and minds. "Your lives are on the brink of death, and your souls, in danger of damnation. You are part of a great crusade. The greatest crusade. And I fear that the circumstances are grave..."

Miles away, alone in his cabin, James Hook's bandaged hand flew to his head as he heard voices speaking to him...voices he had never heard before, causing him to shiver all over...and a flood of images cascaded through his mind, scalding his retinas….
~~
Out of the brightness stepped another figure. It was neither masculine nor feminine, though muscles gleamed in the light as it strode majestically forward. On both shapes, the faint glowing outline of wings could just be seen, as though made of fine silk. "Grave indeed..." it added, standing next to it's companion, it's voice different, more teasing, gentle and yet sharp, each word like a small needle piercing the flesh... “Your souls and the very destiny of mankind are intertwined. And only you can decide your fate…and the fate of this world.”
~~
Gibbs gawped. Pintel and Ragetti hugged one another fearfully. Even Cotton’s parrot was silent. Victoria stared suspiciously. Will, unsure how he could see or hear these creatures, rubbed his eyes. He wasn’t sure if he was dreaming...he turned to Evelyn next to him and shook his head…

Rory awoke with a startle, voices filling his mind, echoing around him. What on earth was going on? He stumbled up and made his way to the deck.
Jorge, a pious man, fell to his knees. Such figures descending from the brightness above could only lead him to one conclusion.
Evelyn was more cynical of the situation. She lifted her head and asked them bluntly, "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" She couldn't deal with all these bizarre events.
The tall beauty smiled sadly, "I am sure you have some awareness of it, you have been visited have you not? Lucifer, I'm afraid, has claimed your souls. And should he receive them...hell could certainly ensue..."
Jack squinted his eyes. He glanced at Victoria worriedly. He knew for a fact he had been visited. Lucifer? As in...? "My God..."

Will stepped closer to his Captain, and scrutinized the figures as his mind wandered back to memories he had passed off as mere tricks of his mind…the strange priest, the burning in his heart, the green haze over his eyes…though not a man of religion, he did believe in faith, and had seen enough in his life to know there were things beyond this world...
“The seven deadly sins…” he muttered, his hand moving to his heart
~~
“The devil?” Victoria was unmoved by the words of the angels, though she could not forget the visions of the man in black, the shattering of the mirror…
The second figure smirked at Jack’s profanity, and began to speak…
“You all know of whom we speak,” it said in a mocking tone, “And you all know your sin…deep down inside it has been festering. Claiming you one by one. He has sought you out and chosen you for his own doing against The Authority.” It glanced at Jack once more… “Our God.”
~~
“So what if we have sinned?” Will spat harshly, “Everyone sins. Why us? Why have we been chosen by…him.” He squinted darkly, waiting for a response, "And who exactly are you?"

Evelyn shivered at the thought. When Frederick had abused her...she had seen that horrid face again, that was why he was so strong so...oh bl**dy hell.
~~
Uriel was sympathetic, her eyes glimmering and her voice was still soft, she had a soothing effect. "I know that, and I am sorry for it. He has chosen you for your suitability, the seven of you possess the sins, and are conveniently part of eachother's lives." Her long gown reflected the brightness, rays sweeping pass them now and again. "I am one that works for God. My name is Uriel, I've come here to warn you and to advise you. You must repent, for your own sakes, and for our's."
~~
Jorge gasped with awe. Uriel, the light of God! He recited, as if narrating a story, "In all their affliction she was afflicted, and the angel of her presence saved them: in her love and in her pity she redeemed them; and she bare them, and carried them all the days of old..."
~~
Jack frowned, he took in its words carefully, "And how is he going to use us exactly? Against the Authority? What does that mean?"

The other figure continued to smile sardonically… “And I am Gabriel…” it ended its introduction there, leaving a sense of enigma over the group, “And I shall explain...”
Gabriel flexed the vast soft wings and began in a similar soothing tone…though there was a hint of malice in that strange lilting voice...
“The Authority is the God you pray to, the God of ancient lore. Eons ago there was the greatest war ever fought. The war in Heaven against good and evil, led by an archangel like us…Lucifer. He fell from grace to the depths of hell, where he now reigns with the other fallen angels. Since then, it has been his greatest desire to restart his unholy crusade against the Authority, and being merciful, God told him that if he could claim seven souls perfectly damned and consumed by the deadliest of sins, he would be released from his fiery prison and able to challenge God himself.”
The great angel paused.
“You are those seven.” Gabriel looked from Will, “Envy….” To Rory, “Sloth…” Then to Jack, “Avarice…” And to Victoria, “Pride…” Gabriel turned to Evelyn…”Lust…” “And the other Bourbon child is infested with Gluttony…the man known as James Hook is burnt up with Wrath…”
Pausing once more to flex its wings, the angel finished it’s tale…
“You have little chance left before it is too late. You can, as Uriel has said, repent. See the error of your ways, change yourself, and halt evil in its path before he takes you and uses you to battle God. My advice though…” It gave a half sneer as it continued,
“Is merely to let fate guide you. If your souls are taken, and Lucifer is freed, it allows us, and the Authority to battle him, and finish him once and for all. So you can choose to change. Or you can continue your damned live and fulfil your roles in this war.”
The group stared in silence for a few moments, taking all of this in.

Evelyn broke the silence, "Well there's somethin' y'don't hear everyday."
Rory breathed in solemnly. It was certainly a weight on their shoulders, and a very sudden load to be given. He rummaged through his pocket and got out a cigarette, quickly lighting it to relieve his stress.
~~
Jack's face was one of pure bewilderment. So they had two choices, but all he had heard was live or die. He kind of preferred going for the live option. But redeem himself? How, exactly? He scratched his head, "That's an explanation and an 'alf...."
~~
Uriel disagreed with Gabriel's proposal, but she said nothing to cause a dispute, they'd been debating enough above. "You have a choice to make, and it is one which will have quite a consequence." She glanced at Gabriel, "But it is entirely your choice..." She looked back at them with a comforting, warm smile, "Do not let it trouble your minds so, I have faith in you. All of you. I hope you have faith in us, too, for it is a powerful weapon."

Frederick de Bourbon and Hook stared at one another aboard the Jolly Roger. Reginald stood nearby, utterly confused by the men's behavior over the past few hours. The visions they had seen together in their minds shocked them into silence. Fredrick shook his head... "I'm a Catholic..." he began... "Not a very good one clearly..." hissed James with a sneer, spinning on his heel and racing towards the helm. He snatched out his telescope and saw the two ships they were pursuing only a few hundred miles ahead. With a face like fury, he glared into the sky, his eyes beginning to glow a deep red...
~~
Victoria shook her head and covered her mouth in shock. The crew of the Pearl began to back away from her and Jack suspiciously, and she glared darkly at Marty as he tripped over some rigging in the process. She span around and noticed a black dot on the horizon... "Well...we are all damned now..."
~~
Gabriel smirked. "We shall take our leave, and allow you to consider the course of action you wish to take..." With another blinding flash, they were gone, leaving nothing but a stale breeze and their wake.

There was a silence on the ship once they left. Evelyn glanced around her, the crew were bemused and didn't know quite what to do. "Look lively everyone!" her voice boomed, "The winds back, let's get that main sail down!" The crew went about their business. She glanced at Rory and Will for a moment, she said nothing, the look alone was enough. She took out her telescope, the fog faded away to reveal the Black Pearl was still behind them. She paused for a moment, and noticed that another ship was on the horizon, sailing without colours...Hook.
Alex put a hand on her shoulder, "You alright?" he asked. A stupid question, but he wasn't quite sure what to say.
Evelyn closed the telescope, but didn't turn to face him, "I'm grand. Get the guns ready."
He frowned a little, "Guns?" He followed her gaze and spotted the ship on the horizon. He nodded, "Guns."
The crew began preparing. Everything seemed to be taking a turn for the worse.
~~
Jack turned to look at Victoria, and looked out to the horizon. "Oh bl**dy hell." He quickly started ordering his crew, and the men scattered about the ship. He walked over to Victoria and put a hand on her arm, "It'll be alright. I'll find us a way out of this."
