Appearance: Tall, well built, with dark looks. His dark hair is shaved, but he wears a dark curly wig. He has a thin moustache, and is exceedingly handsome.
Personality: A man of great intelligence, kind nature and a deep passion for his country, life, good company and women. However, due to the troubles of his early life, his eyes speak of a deep melancholy. When he is provoked his temper is terrifying, yet he has great connection with his nation. He has walked amongst his people.
History: After the Civil War and the execution of his father in 1649, when he was just 19 years old, Charles has spent his early life in fear and poverty. He was contantly between France, Holland and England with his cousin Thomas and friend George Villiers, 2nd Duke of Buckingham. Once, whilst escaping Parliamentarian forces he was forced to disguise himself as a peasant. He has been to the darkest depths of society and lived amongst his subjects. After his restoration in 1660 he set about trying to create religious toleration and peace to England. He married the Catholic Catherine of Braganza in 1662 and has faced a difficult time with Parliament and his Catholic brother James, Duke of York since his return to power, with intrigue always a constant theme at his court. He has various mistresses and a favourite illigitemate son, James, the Duke of Monmouth.

In his throne room at Whitehall, Charles paced in front of the portrait of his father, deep in thought. The matters of state weighed heavy on his shoulders...
Suddenly, an attendant burst in, rattling the doors on their hinges,
"Your Majesty! Lady Victoire de Bourbon has arrived in London!"
Charles breathed a sigh of relief and smiled...
"Thank you. Thank god she is safe...that is one less trouble on my mind."
Turning quickly, the King marched towards his aparments.
