Evelyn looked at him for a moment, "I don't really mind...I just, I need to take him home." She grabbed a rope and stepped onto the ledge of the ship.
Jack smiled encouragingly at Victoria, "Good...I'm glad..." he stroked her cheek, then turned to see Evelyn. Perhaps they all needed to go. He wasn't sure...
Evelyn pulled up her legs and swung to her ship. She was greeted by her crew.
Jorge nodded gratefully, "It's good to see you're well Capitan..."
Evelyn interrupted, "I'm fine, where is he?"
Katrina took her hand, "I took him downstairs...he's..." she glanced down and then smiled at her kindly, "Whenever you..."
Evelyn nodded to her, but said nothing. She went to the wheel. Back home...back home...

Will followed her. He looked at Katrina and Jorge... "I'm here to serve my Captain..." That was his answer to their questioning looks. He went straight to the helm and set their course for across the sea....to Ireland.
Reginald coughed loudly near to Jack and Victoria... "Erm...ah...the Navy have been quite...erm....loud with their cannons and they did a lot of flag waving..." Gibbs piped up "Aye...they're pretty worried about all the....commotion. We've waved a few flags back but they're not going to leave so easily Jack..." "Walk the plank!" croaked Cotton's parrot.

Jack pointed his pistol at the parrot, "What did 'e say?" Mr. Cotton put his hand over the parrot's beak.
Jack narrowed his eyes and put it back in his belt. "Well...what do they want?!"
~~
James Norrington was at the helm, pacing back and forth, "Well what on earth could have happened?" He stamped his foot, "Gillete! Wave the flags!"
~~
Evelyn looked at Will for a moment, "You don't have to y'know. Come I mean..."

Will shrugged and gave a smile... "I actually don't have anything else planned...Sir William doesn't suit me." He laughed as he thought back to his time in London..."I think I was always meant to be a pirate. And I couldn't ask for a better Captain. I'm here not to protect you, because you don't need that, and you've shown me that...I'm here to be your friend if you want one, and part of your crew." He nodded at her, then bowed and put on his girly voice..."Mi'lady...?"
Victoria bit her lip, surpressing a giggle. "Oh dear....they really are enthusiastic with those flags!" Gibbs nodded in agreement, "Aye, the Commodore always was quite....keen."

Evelyn gave a small smile. "Thank you...Sir William." She held his gaze for a moment, then looked out to the horizon. It was going to be a long journey...and she knew that it wouldn't be a warm welcome.
~~
Jack narrowed his eyes and grabbed two flags, waving them back angrily. "The Commodore...is a pompous g*t!" He sneered, "If he wants something, he can come and get it."
~~
Gilette stood in front of the Commodore. James stood still with his hand behind his back, "Well? What is it man?"
Gilette looked away for a moment, "It's Sparrow Sir..."
James frowned angrily, "What does he want?"
"Well I don't know Sir...but he...he seems to be waving flags back at us." Gilette supressed a smile.
James raised an eyebrow, "Right..." He went to the boats, "Take me to the Pearl, now!"
They rowed towards the Black Pearl. James boarded the ship, looking very stern. "Aha...Mr. Sparrow..."
"Captain." Jack lifted his head.

Most of the Black Pearl Crew backed away from the tension between the two men. Victoria followed them and peered over the edge of the ship. Floating away in a small boat was James Hook. He stood in his little vessel, bowed and blew her a kiss before sitting down and fiddling with the small sails. Victoria glared angrily at him as he left, but still couldn't surpress a little smile as he left unscathed...
"Bloody pirates!" she hissed after him...
"Beg pardon?" Lt Groves was stood quite close to her, having boarded the ship with the Commodore. Spinning round to face everyone's puzzled expressions, she smiled her sweetest of smiles..."Nothing! Just so relieved now that the terrible weather we were having has passed..."

James Norrington narrowed his eyes with disdain, "Hmm..." he dismissed the correction, "I'm here to make certain that the Duchess is safe." He looked around the ship, and glanced at the unkept men, "Perhaps it would be better for her to travel with us."
Jack scoffed, "Well, you can be certain she's safe, and I very much doubt she'll be travellin' anywhere wiv the likes o' you."
James lifted an eyebrow, "On a ship with a band of useless pirates?"
Jack took a step forward, "She's been safer wiv me than she's ever been wiv the navy." He liked her, the snobbish tw*t actually thinks he can have her.
~~
Evelyn turned back to look at Will, "Y'alright on the wheel? I'm gonna go downstairs for a bit..."

Will nodded, but before she could turn away her snatched her hand and quickly kissed it before letting her go...he wanted to show he he wasn't totally oblivious to her pain, and that he still was there if she needed him...
~~
Reginald watched the verbal tennis match with confusion, Victoria with mild amusement. Interrupting, she took a step towards the Commodore. Stood between the two menm she turned towards Norrington and asked... "Where are you going? London?" Reginald looked hopeful.

Evelyn leaned in to kiss him, but pulled back. She turned away and left. She desperately wanted to...needed to...she couldn't, no it'd be a terrible thing to do.
~~
Jack frowned, was she actually thinking of...leaving? Ouch.
James perked up a little, "Yes, after we deal with all these law breakers of course." He wouldn't let him slip by, not again.

Will turned and faced the horizon. Sighing, he made sure their course was set, then snatched up a telescope and viewed the events on the Pearl...
~~
"I don't see any need for that Commodore. Captain Sparrow did save my life after all...perhaps it would be best if we let them go, and return to London." She took a step forward and leaned into him slightly... "Certainly I'd make sure you and your crew are rewarded for your efforts in rescuing me from...pirates...perhaps we'd make you an Admiral...or a Viscount..." she lowered her voice to a seductive murmur..."and perhaps I could...Commodore your Norrington." Her black eyes glittered with mischief.

James' eyes widened and he cleared his throat. His cheeks burned with embarrassment. "Well I...p-..er..." he stuttered hopelessly. "As....as you wish..." he couldn't even manage to keep eye contact, "Straight to London it is then?"
Jack couldn't hear what they were talking about, but he very much disliked their physical closeness. He frowned at walked to the helm. She could do whatever, or whoever she liked!

Victoria cast a glance at Jack and frowned as he walked away. She'd expected him to at least fight a little bit and ask her to stay. Her heart was torn...life at sea with the man she loved or a life on land as a Duchess, adored by most. She sighed.
"Straight to London it is then!" she smiled chirpily, but had to turn her head away to hide the secret sadness in her eyes. Reginald gave a little whoop and looked like he was about to hug Gillette.

Jack saw from the corner of his eye that she was leaving. He didn't look at them. Fair enough...not like he needed, he just...no, he had one love in his life. The sea. Simple as that, he didn't want no earldoms and going to fancy court dances with pompous 'gentlemen'. That's what she wanted. So their paths would part. In his heart he felt sadness to see her go...
He sighed and asked Mr. Cotton to take the wheel. He required some drink...
~~
A little while later, Alex was hit full on by a flying man. He fell to the floor and opened his eyes to see...Jack Sparrow, "Sorry mate, didn't err...see you there..." Drunk.
Alex shoved him off and muttered angrily as he walked away.
Jack staggered over to Will, "Mornin'...or...afternoon...or something.."

Will blinked. "What are you doing here?" he asked, genuinely puzzled..."Apart from bothering us, and being drunk."
~~
Victoria was aboard the Interceptor, with Reginald pacing up and down with excitement as they drew farther and farther away from the Pearl and gradually nearer to home. Having found a gown in the cargo hold, she'd managed to regain some of her grandeur, and had neatened her hair so it resembled some of its former curly glory. The Commodore hadn't laughed as Jack had when she'd asked if he had secret habits involving dresses.
"Aren't you glad to be going home Victoria?" Reginald asked with delight. "Yes..." her voice was empty, and once again she found herself looking out at the Pearl, drifting away on the horizon...

Jack tilted his head and looked utterly confused, "Not pleased to see me?" He rubbed his nose, "Just came to...dunno..." he closed his eyes as the throbbing in his head intensified, "..sleep in your cabin..." He put his hand on his shoulder to lean on him, "Argh..."
Meanwhile Evelyn was busy boozing up and trying to find something, anything at the bottom of the bottles of whiskey she was gulping down.
~~
James went to his cabin to draw up some statistics. Work wasn't going to complete itself after all. He did feel tremendously better now that Victoria was with them, and the bonus boost that came with Jack's defeat.
