Jack opened his eyes. He found himself upon a dry circle, which seemed to be sinking...and beneath them, a current, increasing drastically. "What the..." He leapt up, they were surrounded by a lake, he cried out for his companions. They needed to get moving...fast....

Will was at Jack's side in an instant, eyes frantically darting around, gazing out to the seemingly never ending stretch of water. He looked down at the sinking land below them and shared a look of panic with Jack. Quickly, he reached out a hand to pull Victoria to her feet, then looked to Evelyn to see if she was allright. Out of nowhere, Hook was next to him, looking bedraggled and exhausted...
"What do we do?" asked the man, similarly worried by their predicament...
"I don't know..." Will said, still searching for an invisible way out.
"More importantly, where in God's name are we?!" Victoria sputtered as she shifted towards Jack a little, her hair and dress wringing wet...
"I don't think that matters my dear..." Hook said with a small laugh, "I think it's a matter of getting out of here alive..."

"Yeah getting out alive would be great...'specially considering we're in Death right now..." Evelyn staggered over. She glanced around them, "We need to find the waterclimb...well, we're goin' backwards so...we need to find...the waterfall...and we need to find it fast."
Jack frowned, "This is...how do you know this?"
Evelyn ignored the question and started searching, splashing through the water, trying to keep a motivation to get out.
Jack glanced at Will, then realised. Rory wasn't with them...and someone had..."Oh..."

Will's face suddenly went grave. He waded into the water after her, scanning carefully...
"A waterfall...?" he queried, not mentioning anything else, but solely concentrating on getting the rest of those he cared about out of hell...
Victoria glanced between Jack and Hook, stepping backwards a little as water rippled up the bank of land as the little dry spot they stood on continued to sink. She ushered them to begin helping Evelyn, turning herself to another part of the water and peering carefully into it...
"Shouldn't a waterfall...well....fall? From above?" she mused aloud, biting her lip and wringing her hands.
Jack, now half submerged in the rising water muttered..."Here...up is down."
Hook scoffed at him "That's maddeningly unhelpful..." he said, not moving.
Will span and shouted at him "You're maddeningly unhelpful! Now look for this waterfall!"

Evelyn let out a scream. She was attacked by a group of Dead, and threw on into the current. "We need to get out, now!" Another clawed at her, scratching her arm. She could here the crashing of water, it wasn't the currents...the waterfall was near...
Jack brought out his cutlass, "Get away, dead scum!" He fought them off, "Bl**dy violent they are...rest in peace, eh?"

Victoria gave a little shriek, her ankles now underwater.
"Are you ok?" she asked, wading over to Evelyn, touching her arm gently. Suddenly, half of one leg sank into the water as if it had fallen down a hole. She grabbed the other woman to steady herself...
"I think you found it..." observed Will who had also rushed to Evelyn's aid. Jack and Hook moved towards them...
"So what do we do?" asked Hook with a sneer, disbelieving in the whole matter. Will glared at him.

A tendril of water started to wrap around Victoria. Evelyn held her hand, "Yep, you've found it..." a hole, or rather, an edge, started to form, and the water bound their bodies and started to take them down. "When we're down there, we have to move quickly!" Evelyn shouted out.
Jack blinked at the sight before him, "So we all have to wait...can't we just jump?" He looked behind him, where the Dead were trying to follow them. "We're not the only ones trying to get out!"
As the girls were taken down, tendrils started to wrap around Hook, Will and Jack...

Hook frantically looked around, sputtering as he was splashed with spray. Soon he was gone, into the water and beyond. Will looked terrified as the tendrils trailed around him. Trusting Evelyn...he took a deep breath and ducked down, allowing himself to be dragged below into the next world...

When the men reached the Fifth Precinct, Evelyn and Victoria were already dragging eachother through. The water was too deep to wade through and they were struggling.
"We should've taken the ribbon of night!" Evelyn cried out. She used every ounce of her strength, swimming hard and fast.
Jack grabbed hold of Will, "Come on mate, looks like we're in a lot of trouble..."
There were creatures in the water, they didn't resemble their previous body, the strong currents had eroded their figures...

Hook was struggling with his one arm...
"This is madness!" he shouted, following the women, "Surely this is all a dream?"
Will swept past him, gasping as he struggled through the water...
"Does it bloody feel like a dream?!" he shouted above the crashing waves. One of the monsters in the water came towards him and he kicked out at it. It gave a terrible cry and sank down into the depths...
"Evelyn..." he cried, "What are we looking for?"

Evelyn frowned. She was so confused, "Hold on...er..." she started to mutter to herself, "Fourth...waterfall is deceptive so...so...argh!" she cleared her mind, thinking back...there were several ways to get through, but...
"No no...the night..." She shook her head and started to recite. Gradually a solid ribbon, about three feet wide, 'made of night' appeared before them. She grabbed hold and helped Victoria onto it. "Come on!"
Jack looked back at Hook, and gritting his teeth, grabbed hold of his Hook and pulled him through, "Hurry it up old man..."

Victoria looked amazed...
"How do you know all this?" she asked incredulous, gripping tightly to Evelyn's hand. Will helped Jack by grabbing Hook under his armpit as they reached the strange path made of night.
"Come on!" he shouted, stepping onto the black glittering ribbon carefully, surprised to find it so solid. Together, the three men jogged along, following the others...

"It's funny the things you can learn as an intrigued traveller...I had a...I had a friend, he was a Necromancer."
They rushed along the path, the Fourth Precinct was simply a current, the only danger was the Dead that wandered there. They were almost through.
"I don't know about you Will...but I've got some questions..." he raised an eyebrow...

Will nodded at his companion as they hurried along. He whipped out his cutlass as he noticed shadows lurking in this new world. Hook took out a pistol. Will glanced at the man and said quietly,
"If you try any funny business here, I'll slit your throat and leave you for the dead..."
"Don't you mean...leave me for dead?" Hook asked sarcastically,
"No...for them..." Will pointed at the shadows surrounding them. Hook frowned and nodded, his eyes scanning their surroundings.

Their path came to an end, Evelyn grabbed Victoria hand and jumped into the current. "Move quickly!" She drew out her weapon and waded through, feeling relief that their journey was getting easier from now...although the Third Precinct looked deceptively calm.
Jack did as he was told, "So...are we, with all the technicalities...actually...er...dead?" He splashed into the current, "I mean, did we die when we...sank, or are we still alive?"
